Swapback Privacy Policy
Effective: October 7, 2026 (previous version: August 1, 2026)
Summary — The developer does not collect any personal data. There is no server, no account, and no analytics or ad SDK.
Everything the app handles is stored on this Mac; only your lists of slots and sites sync through your own iCloud.
1. Information the developer collects
None. The app does not send the developer any personal data such as your name, email, location, usage history or device identifiers,
and it contains no analytics or advertising SDKs. There is no sign-up or sign-in.
2. Data stored on this Mac only
- Settings: your slots (apps and folders), site list, shortcuts and preferences
- Clipboard history (on by default; you can turn it off in Settings): text, images and file paths you copied, the app that was in front when you copied, and when.
Items older than 7 days, and items beyond 300, are cleaned up oldest first.
Items that password managers mark as concealed are not stored. Text without that mark (for example, a password copied from a note) is stored, so turn the history off or clear it if you don't want that.
Turning the history off does not delete what is already saved — press "Clear History" in Settings.
- Screenshots: the app does not keep the images it captures. They exist only where you put them — on the clipboard when you copy, or as a PNG in the location you choose when you save.
(If clipboard history is on, a copied image is included in that history.)
- Usage stats: how many times and when you opened each slot or site (you can reset them in Settings)
- Caches: site icons and the site search address list
This data is not sent to the developer, and it is not sent to any third party except for the connections listed in section 4.
3. iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, your slots (apps, folder and file paths, and each slot's shortcut) and site list (addresses and when you last used them)
are stored in your own iCloud account through Apple's iCloud key-value store and kept in sync across your Macs.
Folder and file paths can include your Mac user name. The developer cannot access this data.
Preferences, clipboard history, screenshots and usage stats are not uploaded.
4. When the app connects to the internet
- Site icons: to show icons, the app connects directly to the sites you added and downloads their icon images.
No third-party icon service is used. If no icon is found, the app also tries the parent domain (for example, google.com).
As with any web request, those sites can see your IP address.
- Finding a site's search address: for sites whose search address is unknown, the app may download that site's home page and its search description document directly.
- Site search address list: once a day, the app downloads one public file (a list of search addresses for sites) from GitHub Pages (aropa777.github.io).
No user information is sent. GitHub may keep standard web request logs (such as IP addresses) under the
GitHub Privacy Statement.
- Opening sites and searching within a site: the site you pick and any search terms you type are opened directly in Safari on that site.
This is the same as using the web yourself; the app does not store them or send them to the developer.
5. macOS permissions
App switching and the Hold-⌥ view need no permissions. The permissions below are requested only the first time you use the related feature;
if you decline, app switching keeps working. You can revoke them anytime in macOS System Settings.
- Screen Recording: used only to capture the area you select with the screenshot feature.
- Automation (Safari control): used only to switch to or open Safari tabs for site jumping.
Open tab addresses are compared on the device only and are never stored or sent.
6. Payments
Any payment when you download or buy the app on the App Store is processed by Apple; the developer cannot access your payment details (such as card numbers).
Payment-related personal data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
7. Deleting your data
You can clear clipboard history with "Clear History" in the app's Settings. Moving the app to the Trash may leave the history on your Mac,
so please clear it before deleting the app. Lists synced to iCloud can be turned off or removed for this app in the iCloud section of macOS System Settings.
8. Contact
Operated by more.team (independent developer)
Privacy questions: moreri.support@gmail.com
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page, and significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
